Writer - Script Editor - Imaginist

"write to breathe"

About me

The passionately imaginative writer, script editor, and filmmaker, Kylie Lawrence writes from the heart, finding extraordinary stories in ordinary tales. Her motto is "write to breathe", and her frequently ink-stained fingers reflect this.

Torn equally between comedy and tragedy, she finds drama in everything. From early beginnings in Australia's outback, Kylie continues to discover stories, from China to Germany, and countries in between, and writing always from the heart. It is no surprise that the emotional core of her stories reveals itself in her characters, most offering a unique world view.

Current projects in development include a TV comedy satire about one man's battle for romance; an outback-situated musical feature film; and her first novel, a coming-of-age story about a girl looking for love but discovering trouble.

How I can work with you

From a writer-focussed script report (and discussion), to a full-bore script editing experience, Kylie will work with you to uncover the story within your story.
